Is it me or is Leviticus very hard to follow? I find it very hard to stay focused. Is there a Bible dictionary that I can purchase to help me with some of these words. I have attempted to read the Bible in the past and each time I"ve reached this point I gave up. I want to understand this chapter and not skim over it. And I surely do not want it to be something I check off my "To Do List" for the day ie: 1 Read the Bible 2-13-09-check

Thank you for allowing me to vent.
My suggestion is to read through it first without trying to find a deeper understanding, and when you are done, it will make more sense. There are a lot of rules and I think some don't apply anymore. (For example, now we have refrigeration and they didn't back then, so if they didn't eat the food right away, they would get sick.) There is a Catholic Study Bible that is available that breaks everything down to give a deeper understanding.
